SP Sirmaur, Ajay Krishan Sharma, said the Nohradhar police came to know that Dr Chaudhary was in a critical condition at Tisri village on Saturday. As per Jasmine, they came from Chandigarh on November 20 and stayed at Chabdhar that day. The next day they travelled towards Churdhar and stayed at Tisri village in a camp.

Dr Chaudhary, however, developed some discomfort on November 22 and told Jasmine about his condition. Jasmine left him at Tisri and started proceeded towards Churdhar with a local and came back in the evening. Dr Chaudhary was fine at that time, but started having breathing problem at night. She sought help by calling on 112, but when the rescue team arrived with the health staff, they declared him dead. He was brought to Nohradhar, where doctors pronounced him dead. His body was kept at Rajgarh mortuary and taken to Chandigarh on Sunday.
