The 26th annual conference of the Association of Physicians of India, Himachal Pradesh chapter (HP-APICON-2025), was held from October 10 to 12 at AVBIMAS, Manali.

Themed “Journey of minds and meaning”, the event aimed to celebrate the fusion of scientific insight, clinical reasoning, and compassionate care in internal medicine.

Spearheaded by the Department of Medicine, Regional Hospital, Kullu, the conference was organised under the leadership of organising secretary Dr Kalyan Singh, and co-organising secretaries Dr Nitesh Kumar and Dr Aditi Thakur. Dr SS Kaushal, as the chief guest at the event, inaugurated the conference and lauded its organisers for their dedication and scientific spirit.

Dr Nagraj Pawar, Chief Medical Officer, Kullu; and Dr Tara Chand, Medical Superintendent, Regional Hospital, Kullu, were the guests of honour.

Over three days, the conference hosted an array of scientific sessions, symposia, and expert panel discussions, including an address by Dr Rajesh Kumar Bhavani, chairperson of the HP-API Chapter; and Head of Medicine at SLBS Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, Mandi, on the importance of continuous professional education and collaboration for improved patient care.

Topics discussed included cardiometabolic disorders, infectious diseases, COPD and cardiovascular linkages, diabetic neuropathy updates, and rational diagnostics.

A session titled “Young minds, bright ideas”, provided a platform for post-graduate residents to showcase research. In his closing remarks, the organising secretary expressed deep gratitude to the participants.
