According to information, Abhay undertook the Shrikhand Yatra with his cousin on July 12. While returning from the temple, his health suddenly deteriorated near Parvati Bagh. A rescue team took him from Parvati Bagh to Bhimdwari, where his condition stabilised to some extent.
Later, the rescue team brought Abhay down to the base camp at Singhagad in a palanquin. However, he died on the way between Singhgad and Jaon.
The body of Abhay will be handed over to his family after conducting post-mortem, Anni DSP Chandrashekhar said.
