Pawan Kajal, Congress MLA from Kangra, today said some government officers were delaying disbursement of sanctioned funds for developmental projects in Kangra just to please the ruling party.

Kajal alleged that his constituency was being discriminated against because he belongs to the Opposition party. He added that despite all hindrances, he had got Rs 20 crore sanctioned for the construction and expansion of roads in the constituency.

He said that a number of projects were in limbo as BJP leaders were not available for laying foundation stones or dedicating even completed projects to people.

He said Mata Ka Bagh project was completed one year ago but it had not been inaugurated, thus depriving local residents, pilgrims and tourists of this amusement park. He expressed surprise that the government was delaying such projects.
