The Kullu Regional Office of the Pollution Control Board (PCB) celebrated 50 years of its establishment here on Saturday. The celebrations began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, following which a cake was cut to mark the PCB’s 50th anniversary.

Thereafter, a cleanliness drive, in collaboration with the Kullu Municipal Council, was held at the HIMUDA shopping complex in Sarwari area of the town.

Kullu PCB Regional Officer Sunil Sharma said the drive focused on promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.

“Participants diligently collected the littered solid waste, ensuring the area was thoroughly cleaned. The initiative aimed to inspire the local community to adopt cleaner and greener practices,” he added.
