Potholed Una-Santoshgarh road irks commuters

the Una-Santoshgarh road is in bad shape and poses risks to commuters, particularly those plying on two-wheelers. Potholes start appearing on the road just 300m away from the District Secretariat, situated on the same road within the Una city limits. Monsoon has worsened the situation. Potholes get filled with dirty water and the passing vehicles splash water on people. Many accidents and mishaps have happened due to this state of road and the authorities must pay attention to it immediately. Raman Modgil, UNA

No end to stray dog menace AT indira market

STRAY dogs are giving a harrowing time to people at the Indira Market of Mandi town. It is a shopping complex, where large number of customers visit regularly to buy various goods. These dogs can easily be seen in front of shops, posing a threat to visitors. Though several dog-bite incidents were reported in the recent past in Mandi town yet the Municipal Council should shift these strays to some other place. It will be huge relief for locals.
