State Congress president and former MP Pratibha Singh has congratulated the people of the state on the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar. She said Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar had written in detail on the rights and duties of citizens in the Constitution, and the citizens should follow it sincerely. She further said the rights given to us by the Constitution to strengthen the democracy give India a unique identity in the whole world.

While criticising the BJP, Pratibha Singh said there was a dictatorial government at the Centre, which is trying its best to weaken the democracy and constitution of the country. Constitutional institutions are being weakened. “Democracy is being eroded by weakening the mutual brotherhood on the basis of religion and by the politics of polarisation,” she alleged.
