She said that workers, who were not adjusted in government bodies, would be absorbed into the party organisation. She made this statement after holding a series of discussions with party workers here. She took feedback from the party workers on the functioning of the Congress and the state government.

According to sources in the Congress, during interaction, the party workers expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s functioning, a matter which Pratibha acknowledged and said she would address the issue.

Pratibha, while addressing mediapersons, said that the reorganisation of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee was underway in accordance with the directions of the party high command. She added that soon, the presidents of all 12 district Congress committees would be appointed and later the district committees would be formed to further strengthen the party’s base.

Pratibha said that the next phase of the party reorganisation would involve the formation of block Congress committees in the state. “Large blocks will be divided into two, each having a president. Key responsibilities will be assigned to dedicated party workers, who will play a vital role in the growth of the organisation,” he added.

Pratibha also addressed concerns about the financial health of the government, which had been a point of contention in recent months. She pointed out that some individuals had been portraying the government as financially weak, providing an opportunity to the BJP to openly criticise it. She stressed the importance of presenting a united front, as the government was not only for Congress workers but also for all people of Himachal.

To a question about her long-standing request for the adjustment of party workers in the government, Pratibha reaffirmed that since the Congress formed government in the state, she had been urging the Chief Minister to appoint dedicated Congress workers on various posts. She added that she would take up the issue with the Chief Minister once again.
