Various religious ceremonies were also performed and the deities paid visits to each other’s camps. The “Jaleb” (religious procession) of Lord Narsingh was taken out in which palanquins of various deities along with palanquin of “Chharibardar” (chief caretaker) of Lord Raghunath Maheshwar Singh was carried to encircle the Dasehra ground. The ritual of “Jaleb” will be carried out for four days. It is believed that Lord Narsingh ensures the security and safety of the public during the festivities.

Culture Minister Govind Singh Thakur presided over a meeting of the Dev Samaj, the Kardar Sangh, the Gur Pujari Sangh and the Baja Bajantri Sangh. Various issues related to the demands of the Dev Samaj were discussed. — OC
