Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh has urged the Central Government to take immediate action to protect the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and take prompt and effective action to address this humanitarian crisis.

Vikramaditya cited the reports of mass murders, destruction of temples and widespread violence in Bangladesh and said that the Indian Government had a moral obligation to protect the rights and dignity of Hindus in Bangladesh, given the historical ties between the two nations.

The minister said that the government should condemn violence and atrocities committed against the minority Hindus in Bangladesh and provide humanitarian aid to the affected communities.
