The chairman of the Himachal Pradesh State Scheduled Castes Commission Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman visited the Model Central Jail, Kanda in Shimla district on Thursday, accompanied by members of the commission, to investigate a complaint filed by undertrial prisoner Abhimanyu at the central jail. Dhiman emphasised that protecting the rights of the scheduled castes community is the commission’s priority.
