During his visit, Jain reviewed the progress of the rail underpass being constructed at Malahat village on the 503-A National Highway, a crucial corridor sanctioned from Amritsar in Punjab to Bhota in Hamirpur district. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 11 crore, is targeted for completion by August 13. Once completed, the underpass is expected to ensure smooth and uninterrupted traffic flow in the area.

He also inspected the ongoing construction of a 560-m bridge over Swan River between Pandoga and Teuri villages. The bridge, being built at a cost of Rs 50.6 crore, is scheduled for public inauguration by March 2026. Jain stated that this infrastructure will significantly benefit residents of the Kutlehar and Haroli Assembly constituencies by improving connectivity and facilitating easier movement of people and goods, especially between the industrial hubs of Khad, Panjawar, and Pandoga.

Reiterating the state government’s focus on infrastructure development, Jain said, “The government is committed to delivering high-quality road and bridge connectivity to every corner of the state.”

PWD Superintending Engineer Harsh Puri, Executive Engineers Baldev Singh, Arvind Lakhanpal, Hargobind Kaushal, and NH Executive Engineer Hari Ram accompanied the Secretary during the inspection.
