A mock drill simulating an earthquake was conducted at the Himachal Pradesh High Court by the District Disaster Management Authority. The exercise simulated around 300 individuals trapped in the court auditorium and approximately 800 people affected on the premises. Five individuals were shown as injured during the drill.

The operation involved 30 personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 10 from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), six from the fire department, and four health department staff. Two ambulances were also deployed.

Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order), Pankaj Sharma, said such drills were routinely organised to ensure quick response during real disasters and to spread awareness about disaster preparedness among the public. The event highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts during emergencies.
