The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) Pensioners’ Forum has issued a two-week ultimatum to the board management, demanding payment of arrears of revised pay scales and other pensionary benefits. According to AS Gupta, forum’s president, these demands were agreed upon in a meeting held in November 2023, but the management has failed to fulfill them.

Gupta said the pensioners were struggling to get their dues. He said government pensioners have received payment, particularly those above 75 years, while HPSEBL pensioners are still waiting for their payments.
