Drinking water pipes, which supply water to Bangana and about 12 surrounding villages of Una, are leaking. Due to this leakage, people are not getting adequate drinking water in this hot weather. Besides, these pipes are damaging agricultural lands lying on the path. I have complained to the IPH authorities in this regard many a times. However, they have not taken any action till date. — Vikram Rana, Bangana

Vehicles parked on roadside cause traffic jams

Vehicles parked on the roadside are causing frequent traffic jams in the city. Last week, I was driving to Kasumpti. A vehicle parked on the road near Gas Company, just 100 m from the police station, on New Shimla – Vikasnagar road had led to long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road. Interestingly, the owner of the vehicle did not bother to remove the vehicle and the traffic jam lasted for over 20 minutes. Such people should be challaned by the police. — Amit, Shimla
