Residents of the Jogindernagar-Padhar region in Mandi district have raised concerns over the proposed four-lane road project, urging the NHAI to issue a final notification on the road alignment between Jogindernagar and Padhar in Mandi district. The local community is in a state of uncertainty as the NHAI has conducted two separate surveys for the project, leaving residents unsure about the final route of the road.

Mahender Singh, vice-president of the Himachal Building Construction and MGNREGA Union, said, “Due to ambiguity, about which survey will be adopted, locals are unable to make informed decisions regarding land use.” “The construction work for the road has already begun from Narla to Mandi, but the NHAI is yet to issue a notification for the finalised road alignment. The lack of a definitive plan is creating a dilemma.”
