He instructed the officials concerned to restore all roads and water supply schemes damaged due to heavy rain and landslides on a war footing.
He said that Ghumarwin had suffered infrastructure losses of around Rs 55 crore — the PWD suffered Rs 47 crore losses while the Jal Shakti Department reported Rs 8 crore losses.
Dharmani said almost all roads in the constituency had been reopened for light vehicles while four or five roads were still closed for heavy traffic. He urged PWD officials to expedite the repair and restoration work.
He reviewed the progress of the restoration work under the Jal Shakti Department and said that of 61 water supply schemes in Ghumarwin division that had suffered damage, 56 had been restored. He added that the lone sewage treatment project was damaged due to heavy rain and was expected to be made fully functional in the next three days.
