He hails from Khobla village and had been under institutional quarantine at Ramshehar since his return. He had been shifted to the ESIC Covid hospital, Katha, at Barotiwala, said Medical Officer Health Dr NK Gupta.

At least 10 from the state, who had returned from West Bengal recently and were lodged at two quarantine centres at Ramshehar and Manpura have tested positive in the last five days.

They are among 91 persons who had come back to the state on May 19 in two trucks without any permission.

With two sitting MLAs from Doon and Nalagarh and a former MLA from Nalagarh visiting these quarantine centres to distribute fruits, they have also come under the ambit of sampling. Fruits were also distributed by them in the trucks carrying these returnees on their arrival and the pictures were shared on social media platforms. All three are home-quarantined since May 20.
