The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has decided to issue revised pay scale to its officers and employees from January 1, 2016. The decision was taken in a meeting of the HPSEBL Board of Directors in Shimla today. With this decision, an additional amount of about Rs 366 crore will be spent every year on the pay scale of the employees and pension. —

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
