The incident occurred in Shahwa village of Jungra Panchayat under the Churah subdivision.
Among the injured were 20 women, two men and six children. Three of them — two women and a child — sustained serious injuries and were referred to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba.
According to reports, traditional singing and dancing were underway when the roof suddenly gave way, triggering panic. Locals immediately began rescue efforts, rushing the injured to the Civil Hospital in Tissa in private vehicles.
Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal said an administrative team reached the spot soon after receiving information. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, while the three seriously injured were taken to Chamba Medical College.
