A Rozgar Mela will be organised in Nagrota Bagwan town of Kangra district on Monday in which 30 companies from across the country would give on-the-spot job appointments to youth of the area.

The Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), RS Bali, said this was third such mela being organised in Nagrota Bagwan since the Congress came to power in the state. Many leading companies and institutions from across the country would provide jobs to skilled and semi-skilled youths from the area, he said.

Bali said while the present government was trying to provide jobs to the youth in government sector, every person cannot be accommodated in government service.

“So, we are inviting companies from across the country to absorb skilled and semi-skilled youth from Himachal. The state youth have a reputation of being honest and diligent workers. So many companies have shown interest in recruiting Himachal youth. In Rozgar Melas held earlier in Nagrota Bagwan, more than 500 youths had got offer letters from companies,” he said.

Bali said efforts would also be made to open skill centres in Nagrota Bagwan to train the youths in skills required by the leading private companies.
