Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar on Thursday said that an amount of Rs 14.5 crore is being spent in Kutlehar Assembly constituency for upgrading and augmenting the Ramgarh Dhaar drinking water scheme. He made the comments while addressing a public gathering in Budhwar panchayat during his ongoing ‘Sampark se Samarthan Yatra’ at the constituency.

Kanwar said residents of area located in the hills of Ramgarh Dhaar of the constituency were facing inconvenience as they were not getting proper water supply under the old drinking water scheme. Consequently, a detailed project report with an estimated budget of Rs 14.5 crores was made. Construction of 50 water storage tanks and upgrading the existing pipelines was underway, the minister added.

“New deep tube wells have been drilled and pumping machinery was in place. The entire work of the drinking water scheme will be completed in the next few months,” Kanwar said.
