The state government is drawing up a plan for the construction of 108 drinking water schemes in Chamba district under the Jal Jeevan Mission, Phase III, for which Rs 24.24 crore will be spent.

DC Vivek Bhatia who is also the Chairperson, District-Level Water and Sanitation Mission Committee, said this during the meeting for approval of the proposal held here on Wednesday.

After the completion of these 108 schemes, people of 1,092 villages of the district would get the facility of drinking water. — OC
