A sum of Rs 76.67 crore was awarded at National Lok Adalats held across the state today. The National Lok Adalats for pre-litigation and pending matters were held in all courts of the state under the patronage of Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and the guidance of Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Executive Chairman, Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.

Justice Chauhan supervised the proceedings of the Lok Adalat Benches at Solan and also interacted with the stakeholders and the litigants. A total of 122,640 cases were taken up before different Benches for settlement and out of these 51,054 cases were settled/disposed of while a sum of Rs 76.67 crore was awarded.
