Ruckus in 2 Shimla hospitals as relatives allege deaths due to negligence

Upset over their loss, relatives of the deceased women alleged negligence in treatment.
“We brought my mother from Nerchowk Medical College to the IGMC this morning. She had suffered a heart attack. Our patient did not get prompt treatment, which caused her death,” said Leeladhar.
In the incident at Kamala Nehru Hospital, a 30-year-old woman died this morning after a caesarean delivery on Thursday evening. According to the relatives, the patient was fine until morning but collapsed when the staff asked her to shift to another bed.
The IGMC and the KNH managements are yet to release official statements over the deaths and allegations of negligence levelled by the relatives.
