The management has sacked 18 workers, which is unfair as the employees were already facing hardships due to the Covid-19 pandemic. — Jarnail Singh, Union president

The union president, Jarnail Singh, said the management had ousted 18 workers, which was unfair as the employees were already facing hardships during the Covid-19 pandemic. He said the management should give wages to all regular and contractual employees, including the pending wages of April and May.

The union also demanded that the employees should be given their jobs back and their terms and conditions should remain unchanged. The union threatened to intensity their stir if their demands were not fulfilled within 48 hours. They also said they would not permit the management to employ new workers from outside.
