MLA Nalagarh Hardeep Bawa, who has also been included as a member of the committeee, blamed the police for its “negligence”, as he stated that had cops acted in time to detain the armed youths, who had rushed to Nalagarh from Doon recently, the flare-up could have been avoided. He asked the police to identify anti-social elements in the area and also enlist those possessing arms and verify their credentials to avoid any untoward incident in future.

Bawa said the objective of the state government was to maintain goodwill in the area. “Our state is peace loving where people of all communities live in mutual harmony.”
