Samagra Shiksha, Himachal Pradesh, has taken a step towards strengthening digital education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pratham Infotech Foundation. The MoU was signed between Rajesh Sharma, Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, and Prem Yadav, CEO of Pratham Infotech Foundation.

The MoU aims to implement the “My e-School” programme in the government schools of the state. The programme’s primary objective is to provide quality digital education to students, reduce the digital divide, and ensure effective use of technology in daily teaching-learning processes.

Under this programme, Pratham Infotech Foundation will develop high-quality e-content for Classes I to X, aligned with the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education syllabus. The content will be available in offline mode, ensuring that all students have equal opportunities for digital learning, despite internet connectivity challenges.

The programme will cover 500 schools in the state and will be implemented in phases. The first phase will begin in the districts of Sirmaur, Shimla, and Solan in 2025-26. The programme will be entirely funded by Pratham Infotech Foundation under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ensuring that there is no additional financial burden on the state government or Samagra Shiksha.
