Sanjay Sood elected president of IFS officers’ body

Dharamsala, February 17

Sanjay Sood was today elected president of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Officers’ Association. Other office-bearers of the association are: Vice-president – DR Kaushal; general secretary — Abhilash Damodaran; joint secretary — Preeti Bhandari and Sandeep Sharma; finance secretary – Krishan Kumar.

The newly elected executive members of the association are Sanjeev Kumar, Parveen Thakur, Basu Kaushal, Sanjeev Sharma, Aniket Murti Wanve and Diya.

Kaushal said that the main objective of association was to help the Forest Department to achieve the target of bringing the state area under 30 per cent forest cover by 2030. The association would also strive to bring barren land in the state under forest cover by sensitising local communities, he added.
