Professor Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Vice-Chancellor, Sardar Patel University, Mandi, commended the exceptional talent, perseverance, and innovation demonstrated by the university students at the recently concluded hackathon held at NIT-Hamirpur.

The VC said, “Competing on a national stage, alongside some of the brightest minds from esteemed institutions such as NITs and IITs, our two teams—Vayu Sena, comprising Sahil Vatsi, Ankit Thakur, Ashish Sharma, and Richa Thakur; and Unihub Connect, comprising Mohit Thakur, Shivam Sharma, Mokshika Sharma, and Ishani Vaidya— exhibited remarkable dedication and ingenuity.”

Prof Awasthi congratulated the students and said the achievements of the university’s students were a reflection of the quality of teaching and practical exposure provided at the institution. He added that the achievement would encourage students of the university and its affiliated colleges to showcase their talent at similar national and international events.

“Their diligence and hard work bore fruit as Team Vayu Sena secured the first runners-up position in the Productathon event, winning a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a commendable achievement at such a competitive platform. Their experience at the event has not only strengthened their technical and problem-solving skills but has also instilled in them a greater determination to push boundaries and achieve new milestones,” said the VC.
