He said Rs 22 crore would be spent on the facility and the first installment of Rs 7 crore had been released to the Jal Shakti Department.

Satti said that in 1996, the government had approved a budget of Rs 2.5 crore for laying the system at Santoshgarh, but the work failed to take off due to some conflicts. He added that now, with the cooperation of local residents and the allocation of land, the work had been initiated. Tenders for laying pipelines had been floated.

Satti elaborated on various welfare schemes initiated by the government. He claimed that despite the pandemic, the pace of developmental had not slowed down and the benefits of the welfare schemes were reaching at the grassroots level.
