BJP national president JP Nadda today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for starting the cardiac catheterisation laboratory and mechanised laundry at AIIMS, Bilaspur. He said that with the opening of the lab in AIIMS-Bilaspur patients would not have to go anywhere else for the treatment of heart diseases. This would speed up their treatment and also reduce burden on other institutions, he added.

He said that the mechanised laundry system started in AIIMS-Bilaspur was the first such facility in Himachal Pradesh. He congratulated AIIMS-Bilaspur on the commencement of the services.

Nadda said that Prime Minister was determined to make the state an important hub of health facilities. “AIIMS-Bilaspur is evolving as a state-of-the-art hospital and in a very short time, the institution has left an indelible mark in terms of healthcare. The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of AIIMS-Bilaspur in October 2017 and inaugurated it in October 2022. This shows how important the project has been for the Prime Minister,” he added.

Nadda said, “It was only due the Prime Minister’s guarantee that AIIMS-Bilaspur was completed in five years and was now being counted among the top health institutions of the country. AIIMS-Bilaspur has also been very close to my heart. I was determined to establish an AIIMS in Himachal and it is my good fortune that its foundation was laid when I was the Union Health Minister.” — TNS
