Suresh Kumar was recognised for rescuing over 60 snakes in the past year, while Vinod Kumar earned appreciation for his successful rescue operations involving pythons. Both officers received digital appreciation certificates for their dedicated service. They were among several forest personnel from various divisions across the state acknowledged for their commitment to wildlife conservation.

The programme was also attended by Nishant Mandhotra, Conservator of Forests, along with Sunny Verma, DFO Dehra, Nitin, ACF Hamirpur and other senior forest officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Mandhotra expressed pride in the recognition of two officers from his forest circle. “It is a proud moment. Such acknowledgements not only boost morale but also inspire other staff members to serve with greater zeal and discipline,” he remarked.

He emphasised that alongside forest protection, wildlife conservation is an integral responsibility of every forester. “Just like flora, fauna too plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Every species has its place and purpose in the ecosystem,” he added.
