School chairman killed by nephew over property dispute in Solan

The deceased identified as Jitender Singh, chairman of KTS Public School, was allegedly murdered by his nephew Sonu inside his two room apartment, officials said.
Solan SP Gaurav Singh said as per preliminary investigation, a property dispute led to the murder. The accused inflicted multiple injuries on the deceased with a rod and fled, he added.
A woman, who was residing with Singh, was locked inside the washroom by him. She raised an alarm after the accused left the apartment and managed to get help.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police said further investigation is under way and teams are working to trace the accused.
