A district-level safe construction model competition was recently organised at Government High School, Sidhbari. The Kangra Deputy Commissioner was the chief guest at the event.

In his address, he exhorted the children to focus on the development of various techniques and ideas to deal with natural disasters.

In the folk dance and play competitions, held at the same venue, students from 15 schools of the Dharamsala block participated.

Deputy Director (Education) Kanchan Jyoti presided over the programme. In her address, the Deputy Director exhorted students to actively participate in such educational and cultural activities.

Janmay Guleria, the headmaster of the school, welcomed the chief guest, principals, headmasters and teachers from various schools.Government High School, Sidhbari, secured first position in the folk dance competition, while Government Senior Secondary School, Barwala, secured the second position and Government High School, Chatehad the third.

In the play competition, Government Senior Secondary School, Kasba (Narwana), secured the first position, followed by Government Senior Secondary School, Tang (Narwana), and Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Dharamshala, in the second and third places respectively.
