Shilpi Beakta, SDM, Dehra, after the successful completion of her by-election duty at Dehra, recently set another example of responsibility towards society.

While travelling to Dharamsala, she stopped to see a crowd on the roadside near Dosarka. She saw a 60-year-old elderly man lying injured on the roadside at Khabli Dosarka, and immediately took him to the Dehra Civil Hospital in her vehicle.

Her efforts and compassion are, meanwhile, being praised in the area.

The elderly man was identified as Jagdish Chand from Sunehet who was lying injured on the roadside. He is all praise for the young officer for being so helpful.

Jagdish said, “I was lying on the road unattended and the SDM, without any delay, made me sit in her car and took me to the hospital.”

After getting the elderly man admitted to the hospital, his family was informed about the incident. Afterwards, the woman officer left for Dharamsala. It is being said that Jagdish had injuries on many parts of his body, including hands and arms. Later, he was referred to the Tanda hospital.

Shilpi said this was also part of her duty towards society. She appealed to the people to come forward to help the injured in road accidents.

Lying unattended
