SDM warns Lok Mitra Kendras against overcharging

Nurpur SDM Gursimar Singh has directed Lok Mitra Kendra operator in the subdivision to display rate lists for various services with immediate effect.

The SDM said several complaints had been received regarding arbitrary rates being charged by the operators for various services.

He said rates for various services being provided at the Lok Mitra Kendras had been fixed by the state government and no one could overcharge people for procuring certificates and PAN and Aadhaar cards.

He said it was mandatory for the operators of all Kendras to display rate lists outside their premises.

The SDM said he would conduct a surprise inspection of these Kendras and action would be taken against any operator found overcharging.

He also appealed to public to pay the fee for services as per the rates fixed by the state government.
