The SFI on Tuesday held a protest at Pink Petals Chowk, alleging that the HPU had become a hub of irregularities. Citing the increase in PhD seats in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Peeth, the SFI said the seats were increased from five to 13 without advertising to help the chosen few with their PhDs. The students’ body demanded that the problem of frequent power cuts should also be addressed.

Screening test for posts on Aug 10

The screening test for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Research Officer, Class-II (Non-Gazetted, on contract basis) will be conducted on July August 10 from 11 am to 1 pm. The e-admit cards of all provisionally admitted candidates and instruction to candidates have been uploaded on the commission’s website (www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc) and the candidates have also been informed through SMSes/emails. In case of any enquiry, candidates can contact the commission’s office on any working day from 10 am to 5 pm.

Dagshai pupils excel in exams

With 100 per cent pass result, the Dagshai Public School has excelled in its ICSE and ISC-2021 exam results. In the ICSE examination, all students passed with distinction. Out of 25 students who appeared, three students scored more than 90 per cent while 18 students scored more than 80 per cent. Aditya Raj topped with a score of 94.6 per cent, followed by Ayushman Sood with 93.6 per cent and Ashutosh Mongta with 90.8 per cent. All 15 students who appeared for the ISC have secured more than 80 per cent.
