Health and Family Welfare Minister Dhani Ram Shandil on Tuesday said drug addicts undergoing treatment at IGMC will not be kept with mental patients.

The minister made the announcement while launching the trailer of “The White Truth” web series against drug abuse under the ‘Yuva Bachao Abhiyan’ by Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti at Bachat Bhawan. The web series is based on people who have fallen prey to drug abuse and will have seven episodes. The aim of the web series is to spread awareness against drug abuse. This series will be available on the YouTube channel of Gyan Vigyan Samiti.

During the programme, the minister said human life was precious and it should not be destroyed by keeping it in the clutches of drugs. “Keep yourself strong. With your strong will power, you can defeat every evil,” he said.
