The Shimla Municipal Corporation today ordered the demolition of various unauthorised constructions in the town, including a two-storey building in the Sanjauli ward, extension of a two-storey building in Panthaghati and one building in Middle Bazaar.

A decision to this effect was taken at the Municipal Commissioner’s court held here. The corporation also ordered the demolition of a makeshift house in New Shimla, the fourth storey of a building in Sanjauli and the pillars of the third storey of a building in Himland.

As per the corporation, these constructions are unauthorised and should be demolished.

The MC also directed the disconnection of electricity and water supply to a nursing home in Totu locality of the town.
