A review meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap. He directed the authority to update disaster-related reports from 2016 to date, ensuring all data is finalsed within a week. Employees have been assigned to expedite the process.

Kashyap emphasised preparing a comprehensive report detailing previous damages and their current status to assess progress in recovery efforts during the next meeting. The DDMA was also instructed to gather information on whether relief measures had been effectively provided to affected individuals.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed that any future disasters be promptly reported and updated by the concerned departments. This would allow for real-time tracking of damages and relief efforts.

The meeting reviewed disaster data since 2016, noting significant casualties and damages. The year 2023 witnessed the most devastation, with nine major disasters causing 38 fatalities and extensive damage to public and private property.

Additional District Magistrate Jyoti Rana was also present at the meeting.
