District Election Officer and Shimla DC Anupam Kashyap has invited the public to submit objections or suggestions regarding the proposed polling stations in the district by August 18. Submissions can be made to him directly or to the respective Electoral Registration Officers and SDMs of all eight Legislative Assembly constituencies in Shimla district.

As per the EC guidelines, draft lists of polling stations have been prepared under Section 25 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. These lists cover the constituencies of Chopal, Theog, Kasumpti, Shimla (Urban), Shimla (Rural), Jubbal-Kotkhai, Rampur (SC) and Rohru (SC) — all part of the Shimla (SC) Parliamentary Constituency.
