Students of Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, emerged as the winners of the 1st Vidhi Vaarta Arbitration Moot Court Competition, 2025, held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The team — comprising Mohit Gahlot, Nikita Meena and Vanshika Sharma — secured the top position, with Gahlot further honoured with the prestigious “Best Mooter” award for his exceptional advocacy skills.

The competition was organised by Vidhi Vaarta in collaboration with the Bar Association, Dehradun, and the Justice Tandon Arbitration & Conciliation Centre. It was sponsored by RV University, Bangalore, and Saxena & Kumar Law Chambers LLP, Delhi NCR. Conducted in hybrid mode from November 8 onwards, the event concluded with its physical rounds on November 15, 2025, in Dehradun.

HPNLU Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) Priti Saxena congratulated the winning team for bringing laurels to the university and appreciated the dedication of the faculty and mentors who guided the students during their preparation. She stated that the team’s outstanding performance reflects HPNLU’s commitment to academic excellence, professional training and holistic legal education.

“HPNLU, Shimla, extends its warm wishes to the team members for their continued success in future academic and professional endeavours,” she added.
