Shimla, Mandi likely to get heavy rainfall on June 21, 22

The department has forecast heavy rain accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning in isolated parts of these districts.
Similarly, yellow weather warning has also been issued for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan and Sirmour districts for June 18 and 19 and in for the rest of the disticts with the exception of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts for June 20 and 21, resulting in thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds in isolated parts of these districts.
As per the State’s Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is very likely to continue in a few places of the state till June 19 with one or two spells of heavy rain at isolated places from June 20 to 22. Maximum temperature is very likely to fall by 4°C to 6°C in the next 24 hours, after which it will rise to 3°C to 5°C during the next two to three days. Similarly, minimum temperatures are also very likely to dip by 2°C to 3°C during the next three days.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall occurred in many parts of the state during the last 24 hours. Maximum temperatures across the state were between the range of 19°C and 38°C while minimum temperatures were between the range of 9°C and 26°C.
Shimla, the state’s capital recorded 21.8°C maximum temperature while prominent tourist destinations like Dharamsala, Manali, Dalhousie and Kasauli recorded 27.1°C, 18.6°C, 19.8°C and 21°C, respectively.
