Shimla school holds investiture ceremony

The Convent of Jesus and Mary hosted its most prestigious event of the year—the investiture ceremony—where the newly elected Student Council for the 2025 session was officially sworn in. The event was graced by retired IPS officer SR Murdy, who attended as the chief guest. Proud parents of the council members were also present to witness their transformation into responsible office bearers.

Principal Sr Greta conferred badges and flags to the student leaders, entrusting them with their duties. The ceremony concluded with an inspiring address by Sr. Greta, emphasizing leadership and dedication.

The newly elected Student Council includes Arshita Sawant (Head Girl) and Arya Azta (Assistant Head Girl). The house captains and vice-captains are Kaishi Sharma and Kesar Bhatia (Saint Joseph House), Devyani Thakur and Samaira Seth (Saint Claudine’s House), Sanree Gangta and Wamika Sharma (Blessed Dina’s House), Rashel Kashyap and Adaa Panta (St. Francis House).

The editorial team consists of Rubayana Sahil (English Editor), Yashita Kaundal (Assistant English Editor), Jannat Jindal (Hindi Editor), and Jannat Chopra (Assistant Hindi Editor). Other council members include Shivasmi Chauhan (Social Service Captain), Unnman Thakur (Social Service Vice-Captain), Joyna Verma (Discipline Captain), Garima Sharma (Discipline Vice-Captain), Kanchan Ekka (Catholic Leader), Spandan Jamalta (Sports Captain) and Sahaj Dhiman (Sports Vice-Captain).

The ceremony culminated in the council taking an oath to uphold their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.
