Registry asks appellant to remove ‘defects’ in plea

The SP, Shimla, has filed an appeal against the decision of the single-judge Bench of the high court regarding handing over the probe into the Vimal Negi death case to the CBI.

However, the registry of the HP High Court found some defects in the appeal and has granted time to the counsel of the appellant to remove these. Now, the appeal can be filed again after removing the defects. One of the objections was that the appellant has filed the appeal in an official capacity but not through the AG office. It also said some pages were not readable. Some other defects/objections have also been pointed out by the registry.
