Close all inactive bank accounts of government departments within two days and complete “Know Your Customer” (KYC) formalities at the earliest of accounts wherever it is pending.

This was instructed by Shashi Pal Sharma, SDM, while addressing a meeting of bank authorities and heads of various departments, boards, corporations and public undertakings here. He added that the KYC of bank accounts from where interest amount is to be credited to the government be done on priority.

The SDM said that the purpose of the meeting was to review the bank accounts of government departments and to take necessary action in this regard.
