Jitendra Dutt Sharma, a resident of Lana Paler village in the Sangrah subdivision of Sirmaur district, has been selected as a Lieutenant in the Army.

His father, Ramlal Sharma, retired as a subedar from the Army. Jitendra did Class X from the Army School in Nahan and Class XII from the Career Academy in Nahan. He then pursued BTech degree in Computer Science from NIT Hamirpur.

During his studies, Jitendra also earned an NCC ‘A’ category certificate (Senior Division). In February 2024, he was selected Lieutenant, and he commenced his training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) from Monday. Jitendra’s achievement has brought immense joy to his family and village. His hard work and dedication serve as an inspiration to many young people aspiring to join the Army.
