Six super specialty departments have resumed their outdoor patient department (OPD) services at the Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialty (AIMSS) Hospital, Chamiana, as of today. The departments restarting services include neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, urology, plastic surgery, and gastroenterology. This move comes in compliance with the High Court’s orders issued on December 18.

All super specialty departments from IGMC Shimla are set to be transferred to Chamiana hospital. Although the hospital was inaugurated more than two years ago under the previous BJP government, the lack of a proper approach road had delayed the full implementation of services and facilities.
