Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVN) has been conferred with two prestigious awards in the SHRM India HR Awards-2024 in the public sector enterprises category. The company has been adjudged as the first runner-up in the ‘SHRM Award for Excellence in Managing Workforce’ and second runner-up in the ‘SHRM Award for Excellence in Benefits and Wellbeing’. As many as 138 organisations participated in various categories for the coveted awards.

SJVN Executive Director (HR) Chandrashekhar Yadav received the awards during the 13th SHRM India Annual Conference-2024 held in New Delhi.

An SJVN spokesperson said that the awards recognised the role of the SJVN’s leadership in nurturing the workforce, making it a key contributor to the success of the company. He added that the SJVN remained dedicated to fostering a people-centric approach and setting new benchmarks in the field of people management.

He said that the company was committed to working towards employee development through comprehensive wellness programmes. “Additionally, the company has launched extensive benefit schemes and wellness programmes that focus on physical, mental and emotional well-being of the employees and contribute to improved morale and job satisfaction among employees,” he added.

SHRM India is the Indian subsidiary of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world’s largest professional human resources organisations.
